We got the boat launched this week to get it out of the way. Had a bit of a snafu at the beginning as we were missing a plug for the stern. There's more than one hole that needs plugging before launching! It's plugged from the inside and it apparently snapped off.
Later in the afternoon Friday, we sat outside in the backyard watching our gardener trim up our heather. A beautiful day. Ray will go into Duncan tomorrow and get the plug we need.
Yup a beautiful afternoon.
Ray did manage to get a plug so we managed to launch just before the kids arrived Saturday for our Easter dinner.
The driveway's a mess moving everything out of the way to get the boat out of the garage.
I managed to back the trailer into the driveway up to the garage myself, so it was easy moving it back inside.
My score of plants from Costco, all snuggled in for a few weeks waiting for the night time temperatures to warm up.
Saturday morning the kids arrived to spend the day and overnight for the Easter Bunny to attend. Jason's parents arrived about 3 pm.
The weather was so nice, we were able to have hot dogs for lunch at the fire instead of messing up my table that was set for dinner.
Pat, our neighbour, gave Amelia this umbrella that was her grandson's from years back. She loves it!
I had most of dinner already prepped and the ham in the oven. It turned out great.
After dessert, Jason's parents headed back to Victoria and we all had our family time reading to Amelia before sleepy time.
You're both so tanned! Easter looked like a fun time with lovely weather. My surgery is May 21, doc says I may be able to fly back in 3 to 4 months, in time for autumn colours 🍂
ReplyDeleteWe are. We have had quite a few warm and sunny days to soak up the sun in the front driveway, keeping our Cancun tans. Good luck with your surgery and keep us posted.
DeleteLooks like you had a great Easter, love seeing those pictures with feet up, relaxing. I look forward to doing that myself!
ReplyDeleteWe did have a great Easter. We have been fortunate that April's weather has been pretty sunny and warm, somewhat unusual. Amelia is so much fun to watch.
