Nice to sleep in our own bed again. Both of us slept really good. Sunday we just puttered around, both of us tired of the busy week we just had, touring Kelowna Vineyards.
Monday, time to get busy. We got the boat out of the water for the season and Ray gave it a wash. Then he mowed the lawn. The mornings start out foggy and the sun finally comes out around 9 am. This picture looks like I am in black in white ... but I'm not. That's how grey it looks.
I did buckets of laundry and a shopping run to Country Grocer. They have their Prime Rib Roasts on sale this week and I was anxious to get our "Christmas Beast". Still expensive, but $5 a pound off helps.
We were able to sit outside in the front for an hour or so before it's time to come in and cook dinner.
Tuesday, after Ray took a load to recycle, we pushed the boat into the boat garage for the winter. Thanks Darryl for the "extra push". :) Ray also topped all our gas engines, boat, generator etc with gas and then fuel stabilizer for the winter.
Wednesday, another busy day. We hit the road to Duncan at 9 am to do a bit of shopping before my pedicure appointment. We were picking up a rental car today and dropping off our's. We're getting a ceramic coating put on to protect the paint. We had the most delicious Ramen for lunch.
Once back home for a couple of hours, we dressed up to go with Darryl and Pat to the Chemainus Dinner Theatre. Great evening, even though the play's a little slow in part 1 but picked up in the second act.
Back home by 10:30 pm and bed shortly after.
Thursday, Friday ..... cloudy and rainy. Saturday morning we headed to Cobble Hill area to pick up our car after the ceramic coating. Ray and I had to rent a car for 3 days. Sure happy to get our car back instead of a pint size car.
Sunday we headed up to Nanaimo for our Thanksgiving Dinner at Kristi and Jason's. Jason's parents, Nadine and Dale also came. First up we took Jason and Amelia out for any early lunch. Kristi had just been on call, so napped instead.
Amelia wanted sushi. Here's Grandpa taking a huge bite making her laugh at him. :)
Dinner was early at 2 pm so we could all get back home safely on this very wet day.

Great dinner, with ham, scalloped potatoes and veggies. Thanks a bunch guys.
Here's the cleanup crew including housekeeping (Olaf).
Once we all left, Jason went back working hard, painting Kristi's office before the other trades start up again on Tuesday. We took Amelia home with us and will return her Monday afternoon to Jason, so he could get more painting done. Kristi's on 24 hour call Saturday and Monday. Busy girl. Lots of babies. Geez I wonder what people were doing 9 months ago. :)
Fresh snow on the high mountain tops on our way home. Arrived at 5:30 pm.
Monday morning the sun came out as forecasted. Amelia had her bath this morning, we made French Toast and went for a scooter ride.
Lots of puzzle time with Papa Ray.
Amelia is getting so much bigger. It's getting easier and easier to look after her as she is so helpful and does a lot of things for herself.
For lunch we started our first campfire of the season and roasted hotdogs. Of course her favourite part is the marshmellows for dessert. We tried toasting them, but she prefers them straight out of the bag. lol
After lunch, and Amelia putting the fire out with the hose, it's back in the car to Nanaimo. A great 24 hours. While we dropped her off, Kristi wasn't too busy on call, so was at home planting a new cherry tree. Amelia is just in time to help. :)
