We woke to a windy morning and a gorgeous sunrise. What a blustery night, but I put my ear plugs in and didn't hear anything. lol Had the A/C going most of the night, with the wind too much to open a window.
Good morning.
We packed up a bunch of stuff last night, including doing all my dishes etc. so not to much this morning. After Ray pumped up the tire on the car, we were on our way separately by 7:50 am. The Inverter did not come back on after we unplugged, another issue to check while we are in a bigger centre.
The forecast is for a very windy day going across the plains so wanted to get to Beaver, a 2 hour drive, earlier to miss most of the "big winds". We changed to Mountain time and lost an hour as well. I must say this drive was very "over hill and dale". We crossed several mountain (hills) and back down in to very wide valleys several times before finally getting to Beaver and the I-15.
The tire held air for me until we got there and Scott, the tire fixer upper only charged $30 to fix. Yeah. We ate a quick lunch at Br King, hooked the car back up and continued on our way to St. George and the McArthur's Templeview RV Park. An hour and a half later we're parked in our site for the next week. The winds definitely picked up and we were pushed side to side many times on this last leg of our journey. Happy to be parked. The forecast is for possibly some rain tonight, but clear for the next 6 days after this blip.
After setting up and having a beverage, we decided to go and enjoy their hot tub here at the resort. Nice and hot, just the way we like it. Fortunately our site is close to the pool.
Just after we got back, we had a brief rain shower. Glad we missed it while we were driving, the wind was bad enough.
Saturday morning woke up to a cloudy sky, but by 7 am it was blue sky above us and only cloudy northeast of us. Our plan this morning is shopping and errands we've been delaying and possibly (my stupid foot) do some touring after that.
After a major shopping at Walmart we decided to go for lunch to the Ocean Buffet. Wow, what a great choice. For $20 each it's all you can eat Seafood/Chinese Buffet, also a bunch of different choices of Sushi.

We waddled out of there after eating and decided a walk is needed. Our destination, the Red Hills Desert Garden at Pioneer Park, located on the bluffs north of us.
These blooms remind me of fly ties lol |

After wandering around for an hour it's getting quite warm, so time to go back to the MH. Here is a picture of the Children's Museum on the way home. This is in the "Art's District" and we will have to check it out another time as they have interesting sculptures everywhere.

Ray is sure capturing the beauty of the area! Glad changing the fuse worked. That's quite the buffet!
ReplyDeleteWe just love the colours here, the green against the red rocks.
DeleteThat is such a beautiful area, seeing your pictures makes me miss it. An All-you-can-eat buffet sure sounds good to me right now!
ReplyDeleteWe plan on going back on Friday for the buffet, the day before we leave :)
