Kristi and Jason come to visit.

Friday, Jason, our son-in-law, asked if Ray would be interested in going fishing with him on Cowichan Lake Saturday morning as he was taking a friend out.

Saturday, he showed up with his friend and our daughter Kristi in tow. Ray gave the boys basic instruction of where to go on the lake (as far as we know) and off they went. Ray did not go on the adventure as 3 guys trying to fly fish ... someone would get hooked.

Ray stayed home watching the 3 dogs as Jason and George went fishing for several hours. Kristi and I decided to go into Duncan and visit the Farmer's Market. I treated her to lunch at White Spot and we were back home at 1:30 pm. I had me some "great Kristi time". lol

Ray, Kristi and I sat on the dock with a beverage but the wind came up so we started a fire in our woodstove/fire pit outside. This is the first time we have used it as we have been waiting for the grass to come in enough so we would not damage the area.

The guys came back shortly after, but had no luck catching anything. Too bad. Jason did a wonderful job driving the boat back into her spot.

Well done Jason.

Ray, Kristi, Jason and their friend George.

What a wonderful day.  Kristi and I cooked a new InstantPot recipe she wanted to try for dinner. It turned out okay but had too many spices and flavours that we all found it too much. Oh well, it was a good try. I fed the dogs and the kids and they were out the door by 6 pm to head back to Nanaimo. A great impromptu visit.
